Tumblekin - Worlds Easiest TTRPG

Tumblekin is a simple tabletop roleplaying game built around one idea: get everyone playing and let the adventure happen.

It’s designed to be easy enough for younger or first-time players to jump into, while still feeling like a real fantasy RPG for the adults at the table. The rules stay out of the way so players can focus on exploring, making ridiculous plans, fighting monsters, solving problems, and seeing what happens when the dice hit the table.

You don’t need miniatures, complicated character builds, or a shelf full of books. Grab some dice, make some heroes, and start playing!

Tumblekin is a rules-light fantasy TTRPG where the Game Master presents the world and the players decide how they want to deal with it.

Fight the goblin, Sneak past the goblin, Bribe the goblin, or try to convince the goblin that you're actually its new boss.

If you've got an idea, you can try it.

The game uses familiar tabletop mechanics like dice rolls, Armor Class, Health Points, Advantage and Disadvantage, while keeping the numbers and rules intentionally small and approachable for young players.

What You'll Need

A Game Master, a few players, some dice, and a willingness to see where the story goes.

Tumblekin is still growing, and I'm looking for people willing to actually put it on the table. If you play it, I'd genuinely love to hear what your group enjoyed, what confused you, what didn't work, and what completely unexpected thing your players did that the rules never accounted for.

My Goal For Tumblekin

I'd like to keep the core ruleset including both the Adventurer's Guide as well as the Game Master's Guide completely free and open for anyone who wants to play. That is all you need to get a campaign or adventure started. I provide you with all the details needed to create your own Characters, NPCs, and Monsters. All you need to do is put together a few of them and build a story around them.

I would like to eventually get into printing physical booklets and putting together starter kits which will include those bound booklets, character sheets, the quick reference guide, and a  couple sets of decent TTRPG dice. Additionally I'd like to put together a Monster Compendium , Items & Armory Booklet, Ready-Made Characters & NPCs booklet, and some starter adventures that will be made available for a small purchase cost.
